Plan Attempt 1

Visit Haunted Sites in Jersey
I am super psyched to do this one! I love lore (don't necessarily believe) and am really excited to finally check out some haunted sites with my friend. Her and I are probably going to have to plan this trip closer to this summer (given that by then we'll know our work schedules), so I guess planning is still up in the air.
But there is progress! Her and I have a pact to get this done, so I planned something; doesn't that count?

Read Harry Potter
Now you may be wondering- why haven't I read Harry Potter already?
Well, what can I say, my parents got me into Lord of the Rings early and reading a book about Wizards seemed almost heretical. I know other Tolkien fans would argue, but Lord of the Rings and the Redwall series constituted my childhood.
Nevertheless, I already read the first book (this winter break) and plan to devour the second and third over spring. Then I'll clean up the series in the first few months of summer.
So, see, I did some planning!

The Bucket List

I'm finally going to get this planning to plan thing underway. I know it's not February yet, but I think it would probably make sense to make a list of what I want to do. Also, if I post the list here I'll feel compelled to go through it and actually plan.
Here it goes (in no specific order):
1. Ride a motorcycle
2. Hike part of the Appalachian trail
3. Camp in the Pine Barrens
4. Visit haunted sites in NJ
5. Work on an H4H build
6. Go Bungee Jumping
7. Go rock climbing
8. Read Harry Potter
9. Buy a (mountain) bike
10. Go spelunking
11. Watch the original Star Wars episodes
12. Roadtrip
13. Attend a Supernatural Convention
14. Learn how to fly a plane
15. Run a 5k
16. Do Relay for Life
17. Donate blood
18. Learn to do some work on a car
19. Go to New Orleans
20. Own a car with personality
21. Play human flag football
22. Learn how to fight
23. Learn how to make Pecan Pie
24. Be part of a flash mob
25. Learn how to play the Blues Rhythm
26. Learn HTML5
27. Crotchet a scarf
28. See the sunset on the West Coast

That would be my list so far. I might strike some things later, but more than likely I'll be adding.
February is going to be so much fun!!
So Much Fun

Planning to plan is plain silly

I don't post often at all on this blog.
It's like on one hand I want to and then the other little voice goes "WATCH ALL THE YOUTUBE VIDEOS"
WATCH, ALL THE MOVIES
Can you guess which is louder?
To be honest, I feel like procrastination is running my life. Not ruining it per se, but it sure as hell ain't making it better.
I want to do more, to be more...
And then there's youtube and tumb1r and stumbleupon and, sure I want to do more, but I can do more later.
As a result, this February, I plan on planning. Like I'm going to make a list of things I want to do and this February I'm going to draw up plans on getting them done.

New Camera

I came home for break, which is awesome.
I also told my mom about how I wanted to eventually  (eventually, because for college students everything happens in the 'eventually' and never the 'soon', 'now', or 'future') get a camera.
Then, like finding the fountain of youth she said she had an extra camera and it is a sweet camera. It has 14 mega pixels, 5x zoom, a nice screen for viewing, and it's a good size. I was so happy that I actually ran in a circle with the precious wonderful camera in my shaking hands.
Naturally, I tried to turn it on to take my first picture, but it shut off- low battery. Okay, that's fine. I asked my mom where the cord was, she didn't know. I asked my dad, he didn't know. I turned the house upside down looking for the cord to charge it, and, well, no such luck.
Hurray for my miracle brick of useless potential!
meh.

Those promised picture(s) of my Gingerbread house!

Sophia and I made it and it's as much hers as mine. She's the genius that made the huge rainbow tree and the Santa-Bulls-eye (it's the santa in the lollipop) and the candycane heart on the back you can't see (I'll try to get a pic of it eventually).
A photographer actually came up to comment on our house while we were making it and all he could say was "well it's colorful" then he looked at the lollipop and just couldn't get any words out. So Sophia stepped in and said "That? That is Artistic Inspiration at its finest."
He just nodded, but then we all laughed because, come on, Narnia is ridiculous and we know it. But it was so much fun to make!!
(Minus the mini-war Sophia and I had while making it. we just kept putting random candy into each other's water glass. Somehow, mine turned purple and none of the candy was purple...)
Merry Holiday!

Narnia :)

Today I made a gingerbread house.
We called it Narnia.
By the end of it, when we finished the house, I feel as if I ended up covered in more icing than that sizable and sweet structure; I somehow managed to get it smeared all up and down my forearms as well as across my shirt. I also ended up with a tummy ache because I ate my weight in sweets.
Regardless, it was so worth it!
[Insert picture of it here] <--whoa, so cool!
And next year, we're going to do it again and do something so much cooler and better and awesome-er and we're going to win!!
(and hopefully I won't eat so much candy because I really do feel sick and this isn't too good for the day before finals)
WOO!

Merry almost Christmas!
